GPOA thrives on member’s recognition and the need to salute the achievements of it officials. Thus was born the GPOA John Emery Reward one of only two officiating awards recognizing officials in any sport and at any level of competition. The other, the GPOA Floyd Bogart Community award, was created to recognize an individual or organization that has made significant contributions to their community, the betterment of sports officials and the officiating profession. Additionally, GPOA provides awards and recognition throughout the calendar year with various events and banquets.
